The 4 best skateparks in Paris

You want to find best skateparks in Paris ? Read this article and discover the best spots to practice your skateboard, roller-blade, scooter, and BMX skills.

Why Paris is a great place to skate ?

There a lot of great spots in the city of lights not always easy to find except for skateparks and well known places such as “La place de la République”. According to me, it still lacks a real skatepark that’s worth it as in other capitals. May be it will change with the 2024 Paris Olympic games !

“While it has never had the hype of Barcelona, the city of lights has held its own for decades. “

1. Bercy Skatepark

UpdateThe Bercy skatepark was a legendary hangout for the city’s skaters. Unfortunately it was destroyed due to an accident. A temporary skatepark is now opened and the result is 🤬 🤬 🤬 . According to me it’s a shit compared to the “old” one  which was the second biggest skatepark in Paris. I spent a lot of time on the “old” spot and I had so good memories.

2. Place de la République

Place de la République is one of the biggest pedestrian squares in Paris. This place has been a known spot to blade and skate since his creation in 2013. It’s a good meeting place, well-connected to a broad range of metro lines. New version of the Volcom spot has been added in 2018. Check the video to see it.

3. Léon Cladel Skatepark

It is a”hidden” concrete skatepark on Rue Léon Cladel created in 2012. So, it’s away from the crowds (near to the Bourse). It’s the first of its kind to be set up on a public street welcoming skaters, bladers (and even scooter fans) between 8am and 8pm. There are steep inclined planes, curbs and pyramid. I like this spot for that.

4. EGP 18 (Espace de glisse parisien)

EGP is the largest concrete covered skatepark in France with 3,000 square meters. There are bowls, a vertical wall, a snake run etc. Wearing helmets is mandatory.
